Pacific Coast Trekkers Climb Hurricane Ridge! (5242 ft)

Happy 4th of July! Today we woke up to the sound of screaming crows and other birds. We woke up late and cooked up delicious pancakes with some cooking supplies borrowed from our friendly Texan neighbor. We then undertook one of the hardest, most memorable and most breathtaking biking experiences yet- we climbed to the top of Hurricane Ridge.
Everyone went at their own pace and got it done! Some of us took 1.5 hours while others took closer to 3. We hung out at the top of the mountain, taking in the views. We took our daily group photo on the top of the mountain, with an incredible snow-capped mountain backdrop. We then biked back down to our campsite, a fun adrenaline rush with plenty of wildlife and a few cool tunnels. When we returned to our campsite we made hot dogs, beans and smores. We had a marshmallow toasting and s'mores competitions too! We're excited for a new campground (with showers!) tomorrow! -From Lola (aka The Texan Searching for the Sunshine)
