NY-Montreal Trekkers Have A Relaxing Day In Albany

The plan today was to go to a movie to avoid the morning rain. Unfortunately, we timed that a bit too late and got caught in a massive cloudburst on the way to the theater. We found refuge under at a car dealership for a few minutes, then bought some dry T shirts to wear in the movie. Today was Lola's 16th birthday, so she chose to see the new Spiderman movie! After we had left the theater, Lola realized the key to her bike lock was missing. Fortunately, the lock was only attached to the wheels of Lola and Ileana's bike, so we spent the next few hours removing spokes to get the lock detached! The first five were easy, but the last spoke needed a bit more torque, so Asa and Jonah used a display wrench at Sears to get it off.

When we were finally back on two wheels, we got dinner at Albany's own Ted's Fish Fry (the group has become obsessed with the jingle, and they performed their rendition to the servers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6J2ctpBG6o) After getting our fill of greasy fried seafood, we returned to the hotel for an early night in preparation for our 50 mile ride tomorrow.
