Welcome to San Francisco! After visiting a local bike shop for a few tune-ups, we started our trip by sightseeing in the famous city. First stop: Golden Gate Park. Even though the park was only a couple miles away, it took a while to bike up the steep hills. We stopped to create and untangle a human knot, then picnicked nearby. Our next adventure was biking across the Golden Gate Bridge. We saw two whales! Unfortunately, we couldn't actually see the bridge we were on due to excessive fog. We assumed we had the right one. Finally, we checked out Fishermen's Wharf and Pier 39, where we said hi to some pelicans and sea lions. We are all looking forward to getting on the road tomorrow for our next stop down the coast!
