Yesterday our heros landed in Lake George after 20 miles of biking.
But wait! To get some quality kayaking in, we decided to travel a little
further. When we got to Lake George Kayak Company, they told us that they were
not sending out any more kayaks that day because the water was choppy, and the
wind was windy. In fact, they already had someone turnover in a kayak that
day. Although frustrated, leader Andy could not argue with a safety risk, and
we stopped at Ben and Jerry's on the way back to the campsite to enjoy some
yummy ice cream.
That night we went to sleep early again, so that we could wake up
early for a boat tour of Lake George.
Upon the boat tour, the boys enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, bacon,
french toast, potatoes and biscuits. Some went off to read and write letters,
while the rest stayed back and played cards. Trekker Gabe even let the family
next to us borrow the extra pack of cards!
Right now we are on our way to Vergennes Vermont, almost about to
cross our first border of the trip.
