We started off the day by waking up at 7:30am and quickly (for us) getting out of camp by 9am. We rode 5 miles to Dave’s Diner (guess who picked). After we stuffed ourselves with bacon, waffles, pancakes, and eggs, we rode 16 miles to a public library where cold water and lots of books were provided. We read and ate snacks for 2 hours before continuing our trip. Our points successfully spotted a beach area where we swam and ate ice-cream. After filling ourselves once again, we finished off our biking for the day on a beautiful bike trail right next to a canal. We set up camp and had leftover chili with toppings. Some might call it a “burrito without the burrito bun.” We made a campfire and ate s’mores before going to sleep, which was a perfect end to our long and fun day.
