Lake Ontario Trek Heads to Niagara Falls

The Lake Ontario Trek bikers met Saturday morning at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara to begin their 700+ mile adventure around this Great Lake.  We spent the morning in a local park talking about bike safety, reviewing our route, and getting to know one another.  After lunch we crossed the Peace Bridge into Canada and followed the Niagara River 20+ miles to the Falls.   It was hot and an afternoon swim in the river felt perfect.  The bike path leading up to Niagara Falls was spectacular. We could hear the water racing and the mist beside us.  We joined thousands of tourists at the Falls for a good look and then headed to the youth hostel further up river.
