European Phantom Crosses the Channel

The overnight ferry across the English Channel landed too early in France and we were surprisingly biking on the right side of the road through LeHavre at 6:30 AM. After several miles of industrial scenery we approached the awesome Normandy Bridge that would take us across the Seine River and to the beautiful town of Honfleur and to our campground in a small village called Conteville. We had a big ride the next day to Rouen to see that magnificent Cathedral that Monet portrayed in so many of his paintings. We were surprised at the end of the day with a big hill to climb before slumbering at the Lemon Hotel." -- Bryan, Trip Leader
