FIRST DAY- New England Shore Trek
The New England Shore Trekkers began a 16 day, 300+ mile ride from Guilford, CT to Boston, MA. Over the next 2+ weeks the group will cycle through Mystic, CT, Block Island, Newport, RI, Providence, RI, onto Cape Cod, Provincetown, and Boston. They met early this morning at Bryant Park in Manhattan and took a MetroNorth train to Guilford. After several games to get to know one-another and a talk about bike safety the group biked 8+ miles to Hammonassett State Park where they will camp for the night.
California Coast Trekkers in Awe of the Beautiful Pacific Coast
Today, as we departed from San Francisco, climbing great hills, we witnessed some of the most breathtaking views from the cool fog to the waves crashing against the rocks. It was truly some of the most spectacular views one could witness. Reaching our hostel, standing out on the beach, and seeing the beautiful sunset iswhy we do this. We are all excited for what tomorrow brings, as we grow together as a group.
Montreal at Last for NY-Montreal Trek
Today we were up and out at nine despite the rain, excited to reach our final destination! The ride from Napierville to Montreal was about 30 miles and flat as a pancake. We arrived in the city at around 1:00, then we checked into our hostel. Once we checked in, we dropped our stuff off and had some time to explore the city. There is a outdoor circus festival this week in Montreal, and we all found some captivating performances to watch.
Later, we cooked a delicious fettuccine pesto dinner and got an early night sleep. Some of the Trekkers are looking to challenge themselves, and will attempt an 100 mile ride tomorrow on Quebec's flat roads which are especially well suited for biking.
Across America Trekkers Enter South Dakota
Today the Across America trekkers left Sundance WY and headed to Spearfish SD, crossing into a new state! In Spearfish, they visited a bike shop, ate lunch by a waterfall in the city park where an annual arts festival was being held, and cooled off in the creek, before heading on to Sturgis, SD where they finished the day with some bean burritos and m&m cookies for dessert.

The Lake Ontario Trek rides around the entire Great Lake. All 650+ miles. They will ride through Niagara Falls, Toronto, Kingston, 1000 Islands, the St. Lawrence Seaway, Oswego, NY, Chimney Bluffs, Rochester, the Erie Canal, and end in Buffalo. The group met early this morning at the foot of the Niagara River (and Lake Erie) and today will bike 20+ miles to Niagara Falls. They started the day with breakfast in a pavilion in Front Park. After some introductory games and a discussion on bike safety they were ready to hit the bike path. They rode across the Peace Bridge and into Canada
FIRST DAY - California Coast Trek
Welcome to San Francisco! After visiting a local bike shop for a few tune-ups, we started our trip by sightseeing in the famous city. First stop: Golden Gate Park. Even though the park was only a couple miles away, it took a while to bike up the steep hills. We stopped to create and untangle a human knot, then picnicked nearby. Our next adventure was biking across the Golden Gate Bridge. We saw two whales! Unfortunately, we couldn't actually see the bridge we were on due to excessive fog. We assumed we had the right one. Finally, we checked out Fishermen's Wharf and Pier 39, where we said hi to some pelicans and sea lions. We are all looking forward to getting on the road tomorrow for our next stop down the coast!
Devil's Tower was a Diversion for Across Trekkers
The Across America trekkers had quite the day today. The chose a detour route that allowed them to see the Devil's Tower, a rock formation formed by hot magma rising from the ground over 50 million years ago. They took their lunch break at the formation and then ended their day at a fun campsite in Sundance, WY where they played pool and table tennis and enjoyed some ice cream for dessert.
NT -Montreal Trekkers Have Relaxing Day In Quebec
Today, we waited out the rainstorm in Napierville, Quebec, since we got here a day early. We started our morning with a breakfast of pancakes and eggs, then went into town to grocery shop and exchange currency before the weather got too rainy. After lunch, we visited a Tim Hortons. Everybody agreed their donuts were better than Dunkin Donuts! Then we came back to the campground to play cards and chat with the residents in broken English. At dinner time, we went to a local restaurant for burgers and poutine.
Tomorrow, we will make our final push north to the city of Montreal!

Cape Cod Trekkers Have an Amazing Day in P-town
This morning we woke up at Dunes Edge Campground in Provincetown and began our day with the Provincetown Trail! It was a beautiful ride through the Dunes after which we enjoyed an amazing lunch of burgers and veggie wraps. After waiting for the brief storm to pass we rode over to the Pilgrim Monument in which we climbed the 107 stairs to the very top and had an amazing view of Provincetown. After some shopping on commercial street we headed back to our campsite and made pasta with tomato sauce. All and all we had an amazing day exploring P-Town and are excited for the ferry to Boston tomorrow.

The trekkers stopped through Buffalo, WY on their way down Route 90 today. There, they ate wraps in the park and cooled down in the local public swimming pool before heading on to their camping spot thirty miles east where they enjoyed mac and cheese and salad for dinner and a night under the open sky.
Cape Cod Trekkers are at the Tip
This morning we woke up and biked to Home Port Restaurant (again!!) and ate a delicious breakfast! We then biked the whole Cape Cod Rail Trail. That took a while! Then a thunderstorm came and we were stuck in the bathroom at the beach for nearly an hour! Finally, a lil soaked we made our way the final 10 miles to our campsite at Dunes Edge Campground in Provincetown! Before we got to the camp ground we ate a little snack at a store and bought a pint of ice cream. After we finished eating we rode to the campsite and laid down and chilled while the cooking crew made mac & cheese. We finished the night with an (in-tents) game of cards and now we are going to go to bed!
NY-Montreal Trekkers Devour a Vermonster
The 33 mile day today was a breeze! We left our campsite in Vergennes at 9, then had a quick but hilly ride up the Lake Champlain bike route toward Burlington. After getting lunch and setting up camp at North Beach state park, we headed back into town. The Trekkers explored church street for an hour, then we regrouped to hit Vermont's favorite ice cream store, Ben and Jerry's. We split a Vermonster (20 scoops of ice cream, with hot fudge and toppings) 10 ways. It took about 20 minutes to make, and 5 to finish!

Cape Cod Trekkers Explore Brewster Area
This morning we woke up and decided to take an interesting short cut on a mountain biking trail to get out of Nickerson State park in Brewster, MA, which proved to be harder but more fun on road bikes! Once out of the forest we rode to a delicious diner for breakfast! Almost all of the boys got breakfast burgers while the rest of us got French toast and pancakes! Then we rode to the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and explored the Cape Cod Bay in which Nielsen and Austin got stranded on the sand bar. After Austin and Nielsen made the three feet journey back to shore we made an excursion to 7-Eleven for free slurpy day!! Finally we headed back to camp and sat around a roaring fire while munching on smores. We're all going to go to bed early tonight as we have a big day of 30 miles to Provincetown tomorrow!
Stay tuned

Across America Trekkers Still Experiencing the Vastness of Montana
Today the Trekkers on the Across America trip biked 63 miles, traveling from Indian Creek, MT to Crow Agency, MT. They broke up the day with a long lunch break and a dip in the river in Crow Agency and got to bed after cooking grilled cheese with ham, tomato, and spinach, ready for an early morning and to get biking before the heat of the day sets in.
Cape Cod Trekkers Ride a Beautiful Rail-to Trail
This morning we woke up and biked to a bike shop to fix some loose ends on several bikes. After several bike computers finally began to work, we biked towards Brewster, MA. We made it ten miles and stopped for a snack at a park with a lovely view of the water, and we came up with some funny nature rating systems. We were all feeling great and ready to bike until Davis' front tire again!!! Luckily there was a bike shop half a mile up the road and "hopefully" permanently fixed his flat problem with some protective gear. We made it to the start of the Cape Cod Rail Trail, ate a delicious lunch of mozzarella basil tomato sandwiches and biked another ten miles to our campground. In Nickerson state park, we got lost, had some shouting matches in the woods ("that way" "no that way!") and smelled a lot of burning rubber after intense breaking and steep slopes. We FINALLY got to camp, made a fire , hot dogs and s'mores and went to sleep. -

NY-Montreal Trekkers Enjoy Lake George
After the big ride yesterday, our 18 mile ride up the Warren County Bikeway felt like a breeze! In the morning, we met another Teen Treks tripleader Sasha, and she joined us for the ride. After a stop at a bike shop for new inner tubes, we reached Lake George and took a relaxing swim. Then, we decided to use some of our activity funds and go stand up paddle boarding for an hour! It was a beautiful way to enjoy the mountain scenery and the keep cool in the summer sun. Later, we quickly polished off two quarts of ice cream, and cooked burgers and hot dogs over a charcoal fire. After dinner, we went back into Lake George to play some games at an arcade and listen to street musicians. Tomorrow, we traverse Lake George via steamship, and cross into Vermont.
