NY-Montreal Trekkers Find Plenty to Do in Albany

We woke up early after camping at a New York State park at 6:30. We packed up quickly and got out of camp by 8:00 a.m. After a 22 mile jaunt over the rolling hills of Rensselaer County we rolled into Albany at 11:00 a.m. Lunch was sandwiches, humus, fruit, along with a quart of milk and a pint of yogurt. After dumping our stuff at the Holiday Inn Express we biked to the New York State Capitol to take a walking tour and then visited the Observation Deck at the NYS Mall.  We got some much needed sugar at Dunkin donuts because apparently not just America but all of New York capital runs on Dunkin. After that we headed back-to the hotel where we crashed the pool and ate their cookies. Then we had take out Chinese and called it a day. We've made it halfway up New York State!
